Trollius europaeus L. var. viridis (Melichhof.) stat. nov. prov.

 

 

Flora Europaea where the taxon is considered as a synonym.

 

 

 

 

 

This taxon with curious green flowers is maybe a variety but we found it in a pure quite large population in the location below. It is mentioned also from Cluj-Napoca (Faget forest) and Bucegi Mountains. Probably more attention should be focused on it since it can represent a distinct species/subspecies. Unfortunately the fruits of the plants were not available at the time.
